EDX Markets Partners With VerifiedX to List Verified Bitcoin for Institutional Spot Trading

EDX Markets has partnered with layer-two protocol VerifiedX to introduce Verified Bitcoin (vBTC) to its institutional spot trading platform. Under the agreement, Chicago-based EDX Markets will list the programmable token, which is backed 1:1 by native Bitcoin held in self-custodial addresses without fund pooling. EDX Markets will also join the VerifiedX network as an active validator, taking part in network governance and transaction signing. The integration introduces vBTC.b for EVM composability, providing institutional participants with direct redemption pathways, aggregated liquidity, and expanded utility across lending, arbitrage, and treasury management.
