Dow Jones Industrial Average Dividend Winners: These 5 Stocks Yield 2.9% or More

With the Dow Jones Industrial Average trading near record high levels, dividend yields across several of the index's thirty components have experienced compression since the beginning of the year. Despite the general decline in yields, 28 of the 30 member companies continue to pay dividends, with 20 offering yields of 1% or higher. Currently, five Dow components offer dividend yields of 2.89% or higher, presenting opportunities for income-focused investors. Verizon Communications leads the index with a 5.66% yield (+22.8% YTD), followed by Nike at 4.20% (-38.7% YTD), Chevron Corporation at 3.45% (+35.3% YTD), Procter & Gamble at 3.00% (+1.3% YTD), and International Business Machines at 2.89% (-21.0% YTD). Nike's elevated yield reflects multi-year share price lows, raising concerns over capital allocation relative to turnaround reinvestment. Overall, the index shows 21 components trading higher year-to-date while nine are down. The SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF Trust (DIA) is up 9.8% year-to-date, trailing broader index peers such as the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100.
