Dormant Ethereum Movement Spikes to 580 Million Token-Days Without Sparking Selloff

Ethereum's Age Consumed metric surged to roughly 580 million token-days on September 30, marking the largest movement of dormant tokens since early June at nine times the month's weekday average. Despite initial fears of liquidation, exchange balances held steady at about 5.9 million ETH, briefly rising by 18,000 ETH on September 30 before dropping by 21,000 ETH on October 1. On-chain analytics firm Santiment noted the shift likely reflected internal wallet reorganizations rather than market dumping, leaving prices resilient after ETH gained more than 9% in September.
