Dolby and Meta Expand Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision Across Meta's Ecosystem

Dolby Laboratories and Meta have announced an expansion of Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision technologies across Meta's ecosystem of hardware devices and software platforms. Unveiled at the Meta Connect conference, the integration makes Meta AI glasses the first global consumer device capable of directly capturing audio in Dolby Atmos. Users can capture immersive audio content and share it via Instagram, extending earlier integrations that brought Dolby Vision to the social media platform last year. In addition to the smart glasses lineup, Meta confirmed that its upcoming next-generation virtual reality headset will feature support for both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos when launched next year. This is designed to deliver enhanced, high-fidelity audio and video fidelity for movies, series, live sports, and concert experiences within virtual environments. The expanded alliance reinforces Meta's competitive edge in hardware and spatial computing against rivals in consumer tech.
