Deliveries of a $300,000 flying car may be coming later this year

Chinese EV maker Xpeng says it expects to begin delivering its modular “land aircraft carrier” flying car later in 2026, with full‑scale production slated for 2027. The Aridge unit has more than 7,000 orders and plans a Guangzhou factory capable of 10,000 units a year; the vehicle is expected to retail at about 2 million yuan (just under $300,000). Xpeng also plans humanoid‑robot production later this year and robotaxi tests in Guangzhou, and sees partnership opportunities with Volkswagen. The news sent Xpeng shares up about 2.5% in premarket trading after recent weakness.
