DAX Slides 1.25% to 24,763 as Tech and Retail Stocks Slump
On June 26 the DAX fell 1.25% to close at 24,763 after tech and retail names led a broad sell-off. The index had rallied above 24,900 in mid-June on U.S.-Iran peace-deal hopes that sent Brent crude down more than 5%, but momentum faded after weak June PMI data showed a third straight month of contraction, BMW slashed its 2026 outlook, and Rheinmetall plunged 16% on frigate-program fears. Renewed geopolitical uncertainty and sector-specific weakness have kept sentiment cautious into late June.
