Czech Republic Provisionally Approves Tesla Full Self-Driving System Following Safety Review
The Czech Republic has granted provisional approval for Tesla's Full Self-Driving system, reversing previous skepticism over safety, speed-limit compliance, and driver oversight. The Czech transport ministry noted the decision was guided by operational data from other European jurisdictions alongside safeguards to monitor system performance. Following the regulatory clearance, Tesla stated on social media platform X that deployment in the country will begin shortly. The decision adds to prior European provisional approvals, including clearance by the Dutch regulator RDW in April, as well as approvals in Slovenia and Estonia.
