Czech Republic approves Tesla’s FSD after earlier safety concerns

The Czech Republic has provisionally approved Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) system, reversing its previous skepticism regarding safety, speed-limit compliance, and driver oversight. According to the transport ministry, the decision followed an evaluation of operational data from other European jurisdictions and the implementation of safeguards to monitor system performance. This regulatory green light follows earlier provisional approvals across Europe, including the Netherlands' vehicle authority RDW in April, as well as approvals in Slovenia and Estonia. Tesla indicated on social media platform X that it plans to initiate the rollout of FSD in the Czech Republic shortly. The approval marks another incremental win for Tesla's European expansion strategy for autonomous driving capabilities. Gaining regulatory clearance across multiple European Union nations strengthens the monetization potential of Tesla's software suite, boosting investor sentiment and opening additional recurring revenue channels as the company scales its driver-assistance technology globally.
