Cysic Suspends Bridge After Attacker Mints Tokens and Shifts $727,000 to Ethereum

Cysic has suspended its cross-chain bridge operations following a security exploit where an attacker unauthorizedly minted 10 million CYS tokens on BNB Chain. The perpetrator liquidated approximately 7.2 million CYS across 15 transactions before the receiving address was blacklisted 76 minutes after the mint, locking the remaining 2.8 million tokens. The exploiter converted the proceeds into 306.6 Ether (ETH), valued at roughly $727,000, and moved the funds to Ethereum via several bridging protocols. Cysic halted the bridge to investigate message processing and unauthorized database vulnerabilities.
