Crypto usage in the US jumps to 12 percent

Deutsche Bank’s March survey shows US crypto usage rebounded to 12% from a February low of 7%, driven by renewed institutional demand and roughly $1.3 billion of net inflows into Bitcoin ETFs. Bitcoin gained nearly 9% in March and is trading around $75,000, helped by reduced geopolitical concerns and stronger risk appetite, though it remains over 20% below the year’s start and well under its 2025 peak. Investor sentiment is mixed: many respondents expect lower Bitcoin prices by end-2026, and US investors are diversifying into gold and the S&P 500. The report underscores Bitcoin’s dominance (≈70% of crypto holdings) while noting gradual adoption gains among women and lower-income groups. Overall, institutional ETF flows and rising participation have supported a short-term recovery, but caution persists given macro headwinds and widespread downside forecasts.
