Crypto is at bottom of U.S. voters' priorities heading into elections, CoinDesk survey shows
A CoinDesk/POS survey of 1,000 registered U.S. voters finds cryptocurrencies are a low-priority issue ahead of the 2026 midterms: just 1% ranked crypto their top concern and only 3% called it the single most important election issue. Overall favorability for crypto is weak (about 30% favorable) and many voter groups report more unfavorable than favorable views. Despite low voter prioritization, the industry continues heavy political spending and is focused on the market-structure “Clarity Act” and potential tax reforms that could still move markets if enacted. For markets, the poll implies limited near-term political upside from voters, though ongoing lobbying, legislative outcomes and which party controls Congress remain key tail risks for crypto prices and regulation.
