Law firm Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy has announced the opening of a 90-day notice period for eligible class members to submit claims in a $250 million false advertising class action settlement with Apple Inc. The nationwide lawsuit, Landsheft v. Apple Inc., alleged that Apple engaged in misleading marketing regarding its 'Apple Intelligence' capabilities across iPhone 16 models and select iPhone 15 devices. Plaintiffs claimed that Apple prominently promoted an enhanced, AI-powered Siri personal assistant capable of cross-app data integration, which the company ultimately failed to deliver as advertised. The settlement, granted preliminary approval by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, covers U.S. consumers and businesses that purchased an eligible iPhone between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. While Apple agreed to pay $250 million, the company denied all liability and wrongdoing. The deadline for class members to submit claims is December 21, 2026.
