China AI majors Zhipu, Minimax surge on report of potential Hang Seng inclusion

Shares of China AI firms Zhipu (Knowledge Atlas Tech) and MiniMax jumped sharply after Bloomberg reported they are leading contenders for inclusion in Hang Seng indexes ahead of the quarterly review. Zhipu rose 26.2% and Minimax nearly 17% as investors priced in index-related demand. Inclusion would make Zhipu eligible for Mainland Stock Connect as early as June (Minimax possibly by August), opening the firms to substantial southbound flows — Zhipu could attract HK$51–92 billion and Minimax up to HK$47 billion. Both stocks have climbed at least 300% since listing in January, and index entry would likely amplify inflows into China’s AI sector and related Hong Kong listings.
