Capital B Posts $78M H1 Loss on Bitcoin Impairment While Expanding Holdings

France-listed Capital B reported a consolidated net loss of €69.5 million ($78 million) for the first half of 2026, widening significantly from €1.9 million a year earlier due to a €67.5 million ($75.8 million) non-cash Bitcoin impairment charge. Consolidated revenue grew 3.5% year-over-year to €5.85 million ($6.5 million). Despite accounting headwinds, the firm expanded its Bitcoin treasury from 2,823 BTC in January to 3,538 BTC by September 30, representing €310.6 million in cumulative acquisition costs. To fund continued expansion, the firm secured capital raises alongside shareholder authorization for future financing.
