Camus Energy Selected for Google for Startups Accelerator Program Focused on AI Solutions for the Energy Industry

Camus Energy has been selected to join the North American Google for Startups Accelerator, a competitive 10-week program dedicated to developing artificial intelligence solutions for the energy industry. Running from September 8 to November 12, 2026, the accelerator aims to resolve critical electric grid bottlenecks that currently constrain the rapid expansion of AI infrastructure and hyperscale data centers. Through the accelerator, Camus Energy will advance its proprietary FlexConnect software, which allows AI data centers to connect to the power grid three to five years faster by utilizing flexible operating limits on existing infrastructure rather than waiting for multi-year grid upgrade cycles. Camus will demonstrate this technology to major utility providers including Duke Energy, Edison International, and PG&E. Founded by former Google and Amazon distributed computing engineers, Camus already serves utility partners reaching seven million customers, offering hyperscalers a scalable framework to unlock grid capacity while safeguarding local grid stability.
