BlackRock IBIT Ends 13-Day Outflow Streak With $47M Inflow
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs posted their first net inflow in 13 trading days on June 5 as BlackRock’s IBIT recorded $47 million of inflows, halting a record $4.4 billion outflow streak that began May 15. The prolonged redemptions, driven by a $1.29 billion dark-pool block sale of 29.21 million IBIT shares on May 26 and peak daily exits including IBIT’s $527.8 million single-day outflow on May 28, cut total ETF AUM from $107.75 billion to roughly $94 billion while Bitcoin fell from near $80,000 to around $63,000. Analysts view the selling as cyclical institutional rebalancing rather than structural exit, noting cumulative ETF inflows since 2024 remain strongly positive.
