BlackBerry And NVIDIA Tie-Up - What's Going On?

BlackBerry announced an expanded collaboration between its QNX unit and NVIDIA to integrate QNX OS for Safety 8.0 with NVIDIA IGX Thor and the Halos Safety Stack, targeting real-time, safety-certified AI systems across automotive, robotics, medical and industrial use cases. Leapmotor also chose QNX for its D19 EV, entering mass production this month. The tie-up further extends NVIDIA’s computing architecture into regulated edge and automotive markets, which should be positive for NVIDIA’s ecosystem and potential software/hardware demand. However, BlackBerry’s shares showed overbought technicals and traded lower premarket, suggesting near-term volatility ahead of its Jun. 23, 2026 earnings update.
