Black Hills Signs Long-Term Deals to Power Google's Planned Wyoming Data Center
Black Hills Corp. has executed definitive long-term agreements through 2048 to supply power infrastructure for Google's planned data center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. To support the site's 2.7-gigawatt total resource mix, Black Hills will invest $1.8 billion between 2027 and 2029 to construct 564 megawatts of natural gas generation capacity. Deliveries will start in late 2027 and reach peak load by 2030. Google provided $399 million in refundable advances for long-lead equipment and will fully fund electricity supply costs, protecting retail ratepayers from cost shifting.
