BitGo creates modular digital asset infrastructure model for banks
BitGo launched a modular digital-asset infrastructure platform for banks that combines custody, trading, settlement, staking and stablecoin services, letting institutions adopt components stage-by-stage while keeping compliance and client controls. The platform is already in use at several banks and complements growing institutional demand for on‑chain payments and tokenized services. BitGo reported $3.8 billion in Q1 revenue (from $1.8B a year earlier) but a $60.7 million net loss, partly from a non‑cash hit tied to its Bitcoin holdings. The move — amid similar pushes by Ripple, Fireblocks, Anchorage and Kraken into banking and settlement rails — may accelerate institutional adoption of crypto infrastructure, boost demand for custody and stablecoin settlement services, and support further institutional flows into crypto markets.
