BitFuFu September Bitcoin Output Falls 4% to 167 BTC Amid Ethiopia Power Dispute

BitFuFu produced 167 Bitcoin in September, down 4% from 174 BTC in August, as total managed computing power dropped to 19.4 EH/s. The decrease stemmed from lower cloud-mining output of 69 BTC, which offset gains in proprietary self-mining that rose to 98 BTC from 88 BTC. Operations were further impacted by an electricity supplier dispute stalling an acquisition in Ethiopia, where BitFuFu paid $4.1 million and deployed 13,700 machines. Meanwhile, rival Canaan mined 44 BTC to reach 1,875 BTC in reserves, and CleanSpark mined 529 BTC to lift holdings to 13,530 BTC.
