Bitdeer sells all mined Bitcoin for 14th straight week, holds zero BTC
Bitdeer sold all 206 BTC it mined in the week ending May 29, marking the 14th consecutive weekly liquidation and leaving the company with zero BTC on its balance sheet. The continued selling adds to downward pressure on Bitcoin — already down about 16% year-to-date — and underscores a miner-driven supply dynamic that contrasts with rivals like MARA and MicroStrategy that hold large treasuries. Bitdeer says proceeds fund data-center expansion, new ASIC development and AI cloud initiatives, supported by $325m in convertible notes and $43.5m in equity raised this year. The move signals higher operational liquidity needs at some miners and raises questions about market pricing if producing miners consistently sell rather than hold. Bitdeer’s stock (BTDR) nonetheless rallied ~14% on May 28.
