Bitcoin Treasury Firms Lose $62 Billion as BTC Trades at $62,715

Bitcoin fell to $62,715 on June 5 after a sharp selloff that began June 3 when MicroStrategy sold 32 BTC. The move triggered $1.66 billion in liquidations, 13 straight days of spot-Bitcoin ETF outflows totaling $3.45 billion, and a plunge in the Crypto Fear & Greed Index to 11. Public bitcoin-treasury companies saw their combined market value collapse $62 billion to $72 billion, while Tesla’s holdings alone lost more than $220 million. MicroStrategy now faces a record $10.8 billion unrealized loss as shares of related firms tumbled far more than bitcoin itself.
