Bitcoin entity-adjusted transfer volume surged roughly 26% week-over-week to $5.5 billion for the week ending October 25, even as miner fees dropped. Total daily transaction fees fell 8.8% to $185,200 from $203,200, while daily active addresses declined 2.2% to 615,200. The divergence stems from subdued blockspace competition, keeping transaction fees below 1% of total miner income. Over a 24-hour period, miners earned about 494 BTC in block subsidies worth $39.5 million, compared to roughly 1.88 BTC from fees.
