Bitcoin Spot ETFs Post Record $1.26B Outflows as Institutions Sell
US Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded a record $1.26 billion in net outflows for the week ending May 24, the largest weekly exodus in three months. The selloff accelerated after South Korean funeral firm Bumo Sarang reported $32.7 million in unrealized losses on leveraged crypto ETFs on May 19, followed by Harvard’s $150 million crypto loss, BlackRock’s $61.5 million Bitcoin sale and $122.6 million transfer to Coinbase, and Mark Cuban slashing his BTC holdings by 80%. The Coinbase Bitcoin Premium Index hit a monthly low of -0.085% as Bitcoin traded near $76,700 and broader digital-asset funds saw $1 billion in redemptions.
