Bitcoin Slips to $63,000 as AI Semiconductors Extend Lead

Bitcoin has fallen to near $63,000 by June 5 after a 13% weekly decline, widening its underperformance versus AI-driven semiconductor stocks. The slide follows two weeks of sector rotation that began June 2 when BTC broke below $70,000 and AI tokens NEAR, ICP and Render posted double-digit gains. Active AI strategies at BITmarkets captured 44.51% unrealized BTC returns while passive holders faced a 30% drawdown from $95,000. On June 3, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 5.9% as Bitcoin dropped 5.7%, with $1.47 billion flowing out of digital-asset products. Large holders have since dumped over 24,600 BTC, underscoring the ongoing shift toward earnings-backed AI equities.
