Bitcoin Short-Term Holders Capitulate at Record Lows as Price Falls Below $62K
Bitcoin has plunged below $62,000 after short-term holder capitulation reached historic extremes, with their realized profit/loss ratio hitting a record -1.3 on June 5. The selloff began in late May when whale and dolphin accumulation stalled, sending long-term holder supply to an all-time high of 15.8 million BTC while roughly 40% of supply moved underwater. ETF outflows exceeded $2.7 billion, driving price through supports at $74,000 and $67,000. By June 4, long-term holders alone realized $1.35 billion in daily losses as 38,000 BTC flowed to exchanges, extending the weekly drawdown beyond 12%.
