Bitcoin Rebounds Above $83,000 Following Heavy ETF Outflows and Sharp Derivatives Liquidations

Bitcoin rebounded above $83,000 on short covering after dipping below $81,000 amid institutional selling and heavy market liquidations. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs registered substantial outflows, shedding $681 million from October 5 to October 9, led by $380 million in withdrawals from Fidelity's FBTC. Two-day outflows reached $729 million across October 7 and October 8. On October 13, spot funds attracted $109.8 million in fresh inflows, but approximately $800 million in leveraged crypto positions were liquidated over 24 hours, with long bets accounting for 86% of the losses.
