Bitcoin Ordinals Advocates Urge OpenSea to Add Native Trading Support

Supporters of Bitcoin Ordinals and Runes are pressing NFT marketplace OpenSea to introduce native trading support for Bitcoin-based digital assets. OpenSea has not officially confirmed, scheduled, or announced any timeline for Bitcoin network integration. The push, led by developer Leonidas, follows statements from company staff indicating that user feedback influences the product roadmap. The initiative comes amid market shifts following the shutdown of dedicated platforms like Ord.io and Zap, and Magic Eden's withdrawal from Bitcoin EVM trading. OpenSea recently rolled out an updated mobile app supporting over 25 blockchains, but its compatibility list still excludes Bitcoin.
