Bitcoin Mining Difficulty Extends Record Run Below Peak to 374 Days

Bitcoin mining difficulty has stayed below its peak for a record 374 consecutive days, surpassing the previous 364-day record set between 2011 and 2012. Difficulty currently stands at 148.36 trillion, roughly 4.9% below the all-time high of 155.97 trillion set on October 29, 2025. Although seven-day hashrate recently rebounded above 1 zettahash per second, miners face compressed margins from Bitcoin prices under $75,778 and high operating costs. Any return to peak levels faces further delay, with an upcoming adjustment around November 13 projected to cut difficulty by 3.7%.
