Bitcoin Life launches regulated Bitcoin insurance bonds in the UK
Bitcoin Life, operating under the entity Perpetual21 Limited, has secured a full regulatory license from Guernsey authorities to operate as an international long-term life insurance provider. Marking a major development in cryptocurrency wealth management, the company launched Bitcoin-denominated whole-of-life insurance bonds. The offering provides long-term holders with a compliant, regulated structure tailored for estate planning and multi-generational wealth preservation. Under the structure, clients contribute a single premium in Bitcoin or fiat currency, with the underlying policy assets held fully in Bitcoin under institutional custody via BitGo Europe GmbH. The whole-of-life wrapper enables direct transfer to named beneficiaries upon the policyholder's death, bypassing traditional, complex probate proceedings often problematic for cryptographic assets. Additionally, utilizing established Guernsey insurance framework conventions allows potential tax deferral and mitigation benefits depending on client jurisdictions. This vehicle bridges institutional regulatory compliance with digital asset custody.
