Bitcoin Hashrate Rebounds to 1,075 EH/s Following Sharp 27% Contraction

Bitcoin's estimated network computing power rebounded to approximately 1,075.4 exahashes per second (1.075 zettahashes per second) on October 13, rising from around 1,002.8 EH/s the prior day. The recovery follows a severe contraction of nearly 27%, which saw hashrate slide from a peak of 1,160 EH/s down to 850 EH/s. The prior slump was driven by compressed margins, low transaction fees, Bitcoin price pullbacks, and elevated energy expenses, which pushed average hash prices to an all-time low of $27.70 per petahash per second daily.
