Bitcoin Hashrate Surges to 1,050 EH/s as Mining Difficulty Hits Record 140.58 T

Bitcoin network hashrate has surged roughly 45% from July lows to reach approximately 1,050 EH/s, or 1.05 ZH/s, marking a seven-month high. The rebound comes as public mining companies operate at full capacity backed by traditional financial institutions. The increased computing power propelled mining difficulty to an all-time high of 140.58 trillion after a 5.92% upward adjustment on October 16, with another 4% to 6.17% hike projected. Concurrently, spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $528 million in net inflows as Bitcoin traded near $82,700, though major public mining equities fell about 12% amid inflation-driven market selloffs.
