Bitcoin Exchange Reserves Fall to 2.67 Million as Price Trades Near $83,485

Bitcoin exchange reserves dropped to 2.67 million BTC as the cryptocurrency traded near $83,485, gaining 8% over the past 30 days. According to CryptoQuant, balances on centralized exchanges fell from 2.8 million BTC in February, pointing to investors moving assets into cold storage solutions rather than leaving them for immediate sale. The divergence between tightening supply and a recovering price comes after Bitcoin spent the first half of 2026 consolidating below $65,000. Despite its strongest quarter in years, Bitcoin remains more than 30% below its record peak of $126,080 reached in October 2025.
