Bitcoin ETFs Record $995M Weekly Outflows as BTC Holds Near $78K

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs posted sharp weekly outflows of roughly $995 million for the period ending May 15 after a record $635 million single-day exodus on May 13. BlackRock’s IBIT led the initial selloff with $285 million withdrawn, sending BTC below $80,000 to $79,421 and trimming cumulative inflows to $58.5 billion. The market rebounded quickly on May 15 as IBIT attracted $144 million in fresh inflows and ETF trading volume surged to $2.76 billion, though BTC has since eased to around $78,039 amid ongoing macro caution.
