Bitcoin ETFs Post Record $4.06B June Outflows as BTC Holds Near $60K
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded their worst month on record with $4.06 billion in net outflows through June 29, extending a prolonged redemption streak. Heavy selling accelerated after BTC briefly fell below $60,000, driving prices to a 21-month low near $58,000 and pushing year-to-date flows deeper into negative territory. The largest redemptions came from BlackRock’s IBIT and Fidelity’s FBTC, draining $1.79 billion in the final week alone. Despite sustained institutional withdrawals totaling $5.94 billion over six weeks, long-term holders stayed steady, controlling 83% of supply, while whales executed over 6,900 large transactions during the dip.
