Bitcoin Dominance Holds at 58% as 40% of Altcoins Near Lows

On July 8, Bitcoin dominance remained elevated near 58.2% while roughly 40% of altcoins traded close to all-time lows. The prior day dominance had briefly slipped to a one-month low of 54% as the 'Others' category share jumped to 24.68%, lifting select tokens such as AAVE and JUP. Bitcoin recovered from below $58,000 to $63,976 intraday before settling around $63,300. The Altcoin Season Index stayed below the 75 threshold at 43-47 and the Fear & Greed Index improved only modestly to 24-27, still in Extreme Fear territory. Oversupply from 53.5 million tokens continues to limit broad altcoin rotation.
