Bitcoin Derivatives Open Interest Climbs to $23.4 Billion as Crypto Prices Recover

Bitcoin derivatives open interest approached $23.4 billion as cryptocurrency prices recovered, lifting aggregate open interest across Bitcoin, Ether, and Solana to roughly $41.6 billion. Ether accounted for $15.5 billion and Solana reached about $2.7 billion. Despite the rise, Bitcoin's open interest remains approximately 10% below its late-September peak of $26 billion. In options markets, Deribit open interest reached nearly $40 billion with a 0.70 put-to-call ratio and heavy call walls at $95,000. However, fewer than 5% of puts carry strikes above $84,000, leaving traders exposed to liquidation risks.
