Bitcoin Core discloses three AI-discovered vulnerabilities and releases multi-version patches

Bitcoin Core has publicly disclosed three vulnerabilities detected by Spiral's AI-powered Project Loupe scanner, releasing fixes across versions 29.5, 30.4, 31.2, and 32.1. The most notable medium-severity flaw allows attackers to crash nodes running on Windows, macOS, and BSD through memory exhaustion via TCP urgent data, while Linux remains unaffected. Other disclosed issues include memory accumulation from paused pre-BIP31 peers and an undo-file overflow. Following a policy update on October 22 to expedite public reporting, developers will reveal three additional resolved vulnerabilities in two weeks.
