Binance Has 'Reached The Scale' Of Major Asian National Commodities Exchanges In Gold Perpetuals Trading, Says Co-CEO Teng
Binance co-CEO Richard Teng said Binance’s gold perpetuals trading now rivals major national commodity exchanges, with the platform holding a 41% market share and CoinGecko showing $46 billion in perpetual volume over the past 24 hours. Binance Research found crypto exchange perpetuals for traditional assets surged: average daily TradFi-perps volume rose from nearly $3 billion in January to $8.6 billion in March, while gold perpetual volume on crypto rails was over twice DGCX/MCX and more than four times TOCOM in March. Silver perpetuals have seen about $240 billion traded since last November. The shift highlights growing liquidity for precious-metal perpetuals on crypto venues and has drawn regulator attention (CFTC working on a framework), which could affect where futures liquidity sits between offshore crypto platforms and onshore spot/futures markets.
