Best Buy, Amazon expand Fire TV deal to add advertising

Amazon.com, Inc. and electronics retailer Best Buy Co., Inc. have announced an expansion of their Fire TV partnership through a new multiyear agreement. Under the terms of the deal, Best Buy Ads will grant advertisers and commercial brands direct access to advertising inventory across Insignia smart televisions powered by Amazon's Fire TV operating platform. This expanded collaboration leverages Amazon's extensive digital advertising infrastructure alongside Best Buy's strong retail footprint and consumer hardware distribution. By integrating Best Buy Ads with Fire TV's connected-TV platform, both companies aim to capture a larger share of the fast-growing retail media network and connected television advertising markets. For investors, the multiyear agreement is expected to deliver incremental high-margin digital ad revenue streams for both Amazon and Best Buy. It also enhances the competitive positioning of Amazon's connected TV ecosystem against rival platforms like Roku and Google TV, providing brands with advanced targeting capabilities directly on consumer home screens.
