BenchSci Partners with Google Cloud to Close Biology's Infrastructure Gap

BenchSci, a leader in AI software for biopharma R&D, has entered into a strategic multi-year partnership establishing Google Cloud as the primary infrastructure platform for EMET, its agentic research environment for preclinical drug discovery. The collaboration unifies BenchSci's proprietary biological knowledge graph—consisting of 858 million nodes, 2.2 billion relationship edges, and access to 16 million scientific papers—with Google's frontier life sciences AI models, including AlphaFold 3 and AlphaGenome. The initiative directly targets preclinical efficiency, addressing the industry trend where 70% of drugs fail in clinical trials due to fragmented scientific data. BenchSci reports that 16 of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies utilize its software, delivering up to 60% efficiency improvements. Under the deal, EMET will also be integrated into the Google Cloud Marketplace, streamlining deployment and billing for global pharmaceutical clients while driving enterprise AI adoption on Google Cloud infrastructure.
