Ben Cowen Warns Anthropic IPO Could Drain Attention From Bitcoin Price Rally
Crypto analyst and Into The Cryptoverse founder Benjamin Cowen has warned that a looming initial public offering (IPO) from artificial intelligence firm Anthropic could siphon critical attention and capital away from Bitcoin (BTC). Anthropic, the creator of the Claude chatbot, confidentially filed IPO paperwork in June and is reportedly eyeing a fall 2026 debut with an estimated valuation approaching $2 trillion. Cowen drew parallels to Bitcoin's price behavior ahead of SpaceX's public listing in June, noting that the cryptocurrency experienced sell-offs in the preceding weeks as investor capital rotated heavily into high-profile, AI-linked equities. With Bitcoin recently trading around $76,966—down 1.73% over 24 hours and struggling to sustain levels above $80,000 following an August push near $83,000—Cowen argued that market momentum is finite. If institutional and retail liquidity concentrates heavily around major AI IPOs this fall, Bitcoin's rally may stall further. Cowen also reiterated his broader risk indicators, including a warning level around Bitcoin's $53,000 realized price.
