Belgian Safety Group Urges Review of Tesla FSD Over Frequent Speeding Violations

Belgian road-safety advocacy group Johanna.be has urged Belgian authorities and Dutch vehicle regulator RDW to reassess Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) authorizations ahead of a critical EU-wide approval vote scheduled for October 6. In real-world tests spanning three days and roughly 400 kilometers around Brussels, the system exceeded speed limits in 55% of tested 30 km/h zones, averaging 44 km/h, and frequently displayed an incorrect 50 km/h limit. FSD also attempted prohibited cyclist overtakes, raising concerns over potential regulatory delays for Tesla's European expansion plans.
