Beamr and VAST Data Partner to AI-enhance and Monetize Video Archives with NVIDIA

Beamr Imaging Ltd. has announced a strategic partnership with VAST Data, joining the VAST Cosmos Community as a Technology Partner to deliver AI-powered video modernization workflows for broadcasters and content owners. The combined solution leverages the VAST AI Operating System, NVIDIA Video Super Resolution, and Beamr's content-adaptive video compression technology. The complete pipeline runs end-to-end on NVIDIA RTX PRO GPUs, enabling deployment either on-premises or across cloud environments. The integrated platform aims to address the significant storage and delivery costs associated with upscaling video archives to higher resolutions like 1080p and 4K or converting formats to HEVC and AV1 codecs. Beamr's Content-Adaptive Bitrate (CABR) technology reportedly reduces resulting file sizes by up to 50% without quality degradation, while NVIDIA hardware and algorithms accelerate real-time video super-resolution. The companies will debut live demonstrations of this workflow at the IBC 2026 conference in Amsterdam.
