Bank of America (BofA) Boosts Bitcoin, ETH & XRP ETFs, Cuts MSTR Stock Holdings by 70%
Bank of America disclosed in its Q2 2026 13F filing that it materially increased exposure to crypto ETFs while cutting crypto-linked equity holdings. The bank now has about $94 million in net exposure across Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP ETFs, including a 77% increase in IBIT and a 2,838% jump in ETHA holdings. It also holds shares of the Volatility Shares XRP ETF while fully exiting Solana ETF positions. In contrast, BofA reduced its Strategy (MSTR) stock holdings by 70%, trimming exposure as the company began selling some Bitcoin to fund dividends and reserves. The filing signals continued institutional adoption of regulated crypto investment products, which may support sentiment for BTC, ETH and XRP, while highlighting a more cautious stance toward crypto treasury stocks.
