Aztec Bridge Drained of $2.16 Million One Day After DAO Anniversary

On June 18, 2026, Aztec Network’s Private Rollup Bridge was exploited, with attackers draining 1,158 ETH, 150,000 DAI and 0.47 renBTC worth over $2.16 million. The breach follows the June 17 commemoration of the 2016 DAO hack that siphoned 3.64 million ETH and split Ethereum. The attacker’s wallet had been funded with just 0.134 ETH from HitBTC.
