Arthur Hayes Forecasts Potential AI Boom Collapse Will Fuel Massive Liquidity Boost for Bitcoin
Former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes expects an eventual collapse of the debt-financed artificial intelligence boom to become a major bullish catalyst for Bitcoin via subsequent central bank liquidity injections. Speaking at the Gamma Prime Investing Conference in Singapore, Hayes highlighted that U.S. AI buildout costs could reach $2.8 trillion by 2030 and $10.3 trillion by 2032 against at least $1.3 trillion in developer debt already raised. Hayes warned that if compute demand fails to generate necessary revenues, credit strain could peak between 2027 and 2028, triggering government bailouts that ultimately benefit crypto markets.
