Apple's global iPhone 18 ship times decrease slightly year over year: BofA

Global shipment lead times for Apple's iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models have experienced a slight decline compared to the previous generation, according to tracking data from Bank of America. Average lead times currently stand at 14 days for the iPhone 18 Pro versus 15 days for the iPhone 17 Pro, while the Pro Max model has shortened slightly to 20 days from 21 days last year. Regional data highlights that China recorded the shortest delivery times globally, averaging 11 days for the iPhone 18 Pro and 15 days for the Pro Max, signaling improved supply availability compared to prior cycles. Concurrently, pricing trends across international markets show widespread increases, with prices climbing up to 23% in Japan and India, between 8% and 12% across China, the U.S., the U.K., and Germany, and around 5% in Australia. Shorter shipment times combined with higher pricing present mixed signals for investors, as faster delivery may indicate either smoother production and supply chain ramp-up or moderating early upgrade demand across key international markets.
