Apple Stock Drags Down the Dow
Apple shares tumbled about 4% after a Nikkei Asia report that its long‑anticipated foldable iPhone has hit engineering hurdles and could face shipping delays. The drop made Apple the worst performer in the Dow Jones Industrial Average on Tuesday and shaved more than 57 points off the index, contributing materially to the Dow’s weakness as most stocks traded lower amid geopolitical headlines. The move puts Apple on pace for its biggest one‑day decline since Feb. 12, when a 5% selloff erased over $200 billion in market value amid a broader AI‑led rout.
