Apple Partners With LG to Develop Smart Home Devices Ahead of October Launch

Apple is collaborating with LG Electronics to develop a lineup of co-developed smart home devices, including video doorbells, smart thermostats, smart locks, and security cameras. The LG-branded products will integrate with Apple's ecosystem alongside a planned smart home hub featuring a 6-inch square display, an updated HomePod mini, and a refreshed Apple TV, with an unveiling scheduled for October 13. Following the reports, Apple shares closed 0.22% higher at $333.63 on the Nasdaq, while LG Electronics slid more than 10% to KRW 208,500 on the Korea Stock Exchange.
